The General Purpose (GP) Rating course is a foundational program designed for candidates aspiring to join the merchant navy. This 6-month residential training equips students with essential knowledge and practical skills in both deck and engine room operations. Upon successful completion, candidates become eligible to work as crew members on merchant ships worldwide.
